What is Gluteal Tendinopathy?
Gluteal tendinopathy is an overuse injury of the gluteal tendons. It is characterized by pain outside the hip, especially during weight-bearing activities. It typically affects the Gluteus Medius and Minimus muscles. The tendons of these muscles are overloaded and become weak and painful. It is more common in women, present in ~25% of women over 50.
