Polynucleotides Skin Treatment in Canada Water

msk google reviews 1

Regenerative skin treatment for brighter, healthier, firmer-looking skin.

Polynucleotides are an injectable skin treatment designed to improve skin quality from within. Rather than adding volume like dermal fillers, polynucleotides work by supporting skin repair, hydration, elasticity and collagen quality over time.

They are especially popular for delicate areas such as the under-eyes, face, neck and areas of crepey or tired-looking skin.

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments used in regenerative aesthetic medicine. When injected into the skin, they help stimulate fibroblast activity, support collagen production, improve hydration and encourage tissue repair. Research suggests they may improve skin texture, elasticity, wrinkle depth and overall skin quality. (PMC)

What can polynucleotides help with?

Polynucleotides may be suitable for:

  • Under-eye crepiness
  • Fine lines
  • Dark circles related to thin or tired skin
  • Dull or dehydrated skin
  • Early skin laxity
  • Poor skin texture
  • Neck or décolletage ageing
  • Skin quality after acne or inflammation
  • Patients who want a natural result without adding volume

Polynucleotides vs filler

Polynucleotides do not work like a filler.

Filler adds structure or volume. Polynucleotides aim to improve the skin’s quality. This makes them a good option for patients who want a natural-looking improvement, particularly around the eyes, where filler is not always appropriate.

What happens during treatment?

Your appointment includes a consultation, a skin assessment, and a discussion of your goals. If suitable, small amounts of polynucleotide solution are injected into the treatment area using fine needles.
You may notice small bumps, redness or mild swelling immediately afterwards. This usually settles within a few days.

When will I see results?

Results are gradual. Many patients begin to notice improvement over several weeks as the skin becomes healthier, smoother and better hydrated. A course of treatments is usually recommended, often followed by maintenance treatments depending on your skin and goals. Some clinics describe results lasting around 6–12 months, though this varies between individuals. (Save Face)

Is there downtime?

Downtime is usually minimal. Possible side effects include:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Bruising
  • Small temporary bumps at injection points

As with all injectable treatments, there are risks, so treatment should only be carried out after a proper consultation by a trained medical professional. If you bruise easily, there are alternative injection techniques that can help reduce the impact.

Who may not be suitable?

Polynucleotides may not be suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, certain allergies, or specific medical conditions. We will assess suitability during your consultation.
